Clearance - Expired Integrated Technologies Limited’s (ITL)
recognition, direction, growth potential, and the pursuit of continuous
customer satisfaction are just a few factors that make it an honor to direct
the business development for ITL’s U.S. office covering North and South
America. My leadership skills, experience, drive, and ability to adapt and
overcome are what gave ITL and myself the confidence to take on this roll and
to make myself an invaluable asset to the company. With my networking skills
and ambition to succeed I have been able to identify and attract
opportunities that helped to accelerate the demand for ITL’s contract design
and manufacturing. With this push we were able to graduate from
occupying space in an incubation center and existing solely as an aftermarket
support and sales center for our UK headquarters, to obtaining our own
facility with full manufacturing capabilities just like our UK and China
locations. This advancement was originally intended as a possibility that was
not projected for another five or seven years further in the business plan,
however within my first three months on the job I was able to present it as a
current reality. Along with these accomplishments I have secured
several distribution and OEM contracts that have helped to bring large
advancements in the sales, brand awareness, and profits of ITL’s laboratory
product line “Vitl”. Additionally, I regularly have held positions requiring
me to manage multiple personnel and projects at a time. Many of these
projects include seeking out & managing multi-million dollar contracts,
often working with international clients and colleagues; all of which require
a sense of diplomacy, patience, and ability to connect with and
nurture/maintain these relationships. In addition to my current
position I have been privileged with numerous other opportunities throughout
my professional career in which I have been responsible for project and
account management, including projects where I was required to analyze,
design, develop, and implement my own ideas and plans. In addition to organizational,
interpersonal, and marketing skills, much of my experience has enhanced my
efficiency and leadership abilities. While I was a meteorologist for the
President’s Helicopter Squadron (HMX-1), I learned to be exceptionally
diligent and timely in my work. It was essential that forecasts and briefings
be precise and valid as my reports were responsible to ensure the safety of
the pilots, crew, and important passengers that included dignitaries and the
President of America. As a leader in the U.S. Marine Corps I learned to
manage small to large groups of marines, including those that were superior
in ranking while I was designated as the team leader for projects due to the confidence
that I earned from my command and my ability to adapt and overcome challenges
when they are presented to me. Many of these projects required me to
utilize my project management skills as well as using and honing my
leadership abilities. Such an example, I was tasked with the
responsibility of developing updated training schedules and furthering the
standards for Marines in our field. By analyzing the previously used training
requirements I was able to observe the areas that lacked proficiency within
the Marine Corps outdated meteorological and oceanographic continual
training. By adding the new materials for updated sciences and
technology, establishing a time line of continued education, scheduled
testing, and frequent performance evaluations there was a significant
improvement in the functionality of the teams under my charge. Through this
process I was able to help my fellow Marines build confidence in their work
and gain additional certifications, which in turn provided them with the opportunity
to expand upon their abilities and eventually they were able to work
competently without constant supervision. This was then deployed Marine
Corps wide and for my performance and accomplishments with this and other
endeavors, I was given several awards as well as letters both of commendation
and appreciation for excelling above and beyond my job description. In regards to my career in the Real Estate
industry, I devoted my efforts with Virginia Capital Reality (VCR) to learn
the field and gain experience prior to becoming a Realtor. As a dedicated
member of their team, I was given the opportunity to cover large volumes of
property transactions. This included managing the properties from obtainment
to closing. I was able to gain the experience of an agent working ten-plus
years in the industry, within a single year. With this opportunity for an
exposure to such a large volume of properties I was fortunate enough to have
built my experience far beyond that of an average Realtor. This further
enriched my experience with marketing, client management, contract
preparation, and negotiation; including high volume accounts. I am proud to say that I am hard working,
driven, and eager to learn and excel. Additionally, in every aspect of my
life I follow the Marine Corps moto of “Semper Gumby”, meaning “Always
Flexible” to adapt and overcome any situation that is presented. I
apply these qualities to every endeavor that I pursue, and look forward to
using my strengths to benefit and become an invaluable member of your team. James Martin - page 2 SYNOPSIS: Business
